What Your Child Should Know by the End of the Year in ELA

A learning target is a brief statement  which describes
what a student is expected to learn, demonstrate and/or
accomplish by the end of the lesson, the unit or the year. These
learning targets are expressed in "I can" statements which represent
what the child should be able to say at the end of each
academic year.

ELA is English Language Arts (reading, writing, listening, speaking & thinking)


Text is a book, magazine or internet article, Facebook or Twitter feed, product label, menu, sign.....anything that has words to read.
