  • In a small Kingdom, ruled by a talkative queen and a mute king, no one may marry until a genuine, certified princess can be found for Prince Dauntless the Drab. Twelve princesses have been tested, and all have failed the queen's tests. Enter Winnifred the Woebegone, an altogether different kind of princess. This light-hearted comic romp is a musical retelling of the Hans Christian Andersen story The Princess and the Pea.  Come see Lansing’s production of Once Upon a Mattress, tonight at 6:30 and tomorrow and Saturday at 7pm.  Tickets are $10 and will be available at the door. We hope to see you there!

  • We have “an opening for a princess...”  This year’s Lansing High School spring musical, Once Upon a Mattress, is a comedy adaptation of the classic fairy tale The Princess and the Pea. It is by turns hilarious and raucous, romantic and melodic, and is carried throughout by wonderful singing and dancing. This rollicking spin on the familiar classic of royal courtship and comeuppance provides for some side-splitting shenanigans.  Don’t be “shy”, join us tonight and tomorrow night at 7 pm.  Tickets are $10 and are available at the door.
