DAILY STUDENT ANNOUNCEMENTS

Monday, December 9, 2019 - "A" Day
  • Tomorrow on Tuesday, December 10th there will be a Photography exhibition at the Bobcat artist gallery in the space next to the library. There will be snacks that are provided. We hope to see you there!
  • Come on down to the GSA this Wednesday after school in Ms. Ivery's room. 
  • Hey LHS! The digital Art students are going to be holding an exhibition in the Lansing Library on December 12th at 5-7PM! It's called Oh, the Places We Know! Lansing Through the Eyes of the Students. Hope to see you there!
  • Hey Seniors! This is a reminder to check your email to answer the senior poll for yearbook. Visit student services to sign the heart signature page. 
  • Reminder to all students and faculty, do you know someone who should be recognized for being kind and caring? Or has done something nice for you? Nominate them for the bobcats who care survey, check your email. 
  • Anyone interested in playing in the pit orchestra for the musical should pick up an application outside of the new chorus room #142.
  • Reminder that the food drive is currently going on thru this Friday. Please drop off your donations to your homeroom. Reminder that the winning homeroom wins a pizza party. 
  • Are you looking for small ways to give back to our community this holiday season? Please consider donating NYLON SKI - TYPE mittens and gloves in youth sizes for students in our elementary school. If you would like to join in the spirit of giving, drop a new pair of gloves or mittens off in student services. We will send our donations over R.C. Buckley so that our young friends can have fun in the snow this winter! Smitten for Mittens is sponsored by the Class of 2020.

  • The Hour of Code is back. This Wednesday after school, come to room 112, 115 or 207 to learn about coding with a variety of fun activities. Some teachers may offer extra credit for participation. 
  • Did you know... Children who go hungry are more likely to miss school and receive poorer grades, which leads to trouble keeping up in class. Won't you please donate to the food drive? Drop off a non perishable food item to your homeroom. Homerooms who collect the most food will be awarded a pizza party!

  • Did you know???...62% of teachers in America say children in their classrooms are coming to school hungry. Children who go hungry are more likely to miss school and receive poorer grades which leads to trouble keeping up in class. Won't you please consider donating to your local food pantry. The SCO is currently hosting a FOOD DRIVE. You can drop off non-perishable items to your 1st period class. The 1st period class who has collected the most food will receive a pizza party. Food drive ends this Friday.
