The Lansing community is invited to attend the Lansing Middle School Theatre Club production of their fall musical, “Annie Jr.” The musical will take place from Nov. 7 to Nov. 10 in the LMS Auditorium.
Auditions for the musical began during the first full week of school. Rehearsals for the musical began immediately after that, with students working diligently ever since to bring well-known characters such as Annie, Miss Hannigan, and Oliver “Daddy” Warbucks to the stage. Over 100 students from LMS are taking part in the cast of “Annie Jr.” Eight students from Lansing High School are assisting as crew members for the show.
"Our rehearsals have been going really well and we're all excited to present 'Annie Jr.' to the Lansing community,” said Lucas Hibbard, who is directing the musical along with Cynthia Howell. “This is the largest cast we've had in several years and it has been such a pleasure to work with them all. It is going to be a great show.”
“Annie Jr.” will take place November 7, 8, and 9 at 6:30 p.m., and November 10 at 2 p.m. in the LMS auditorium. Tickets are $5 each and can be purchased in the LMS office, during regular school hours starting Monday. Oct. 29. Tickets will also be available at the door.
