The HS Special Education Department serves students who have been identified through the Committee on Special Education (CSE).  Services are delivered in the Study Center and in regular classrooms. Academicsupport  is a large feature of the program and this is accomplished, in part, by weekly Congruence with regular classroom teachers.  These weekly Congruence meetings are essential to the success of our students because through them the instructional support teachers are given information about student progress and upcoming assignments. Given this information, we can provide individualized instruction for each student that we serve. Instructional Support Teachers also deliver services through co-teaching and teaching credit- bearing courses  to small groups who demonstrate  need  for these classes.

Testing accommodations are delivered in the Study Center and regular classrooms, depending on the student's need.

Currently  there are 5 teachers and 2 teacher assistants serving students in grades 9-12.
