Curriculum, Instruction & Assessment

  • LCSD Philosophy for Curriculum and Instruction

LCSD believes all students can learn and demonstrate core competencies.

Lansing educators communicate high expectations for learning and student achievement by utilizing best practices in teaching, participating in professional learning to enhance our practice, collaborating as educators, and expressing passion for our subject matter. Motivated learners design complex questions, think critically, and produce high quality solutions. Lansing educators are committed to increasing student engagement by providing authentic and interesting learning opportunities through a variety of teaching and learning approaches.

Students in the Lansing Central School District will approach problems creatively and communicate processes and solutions effectively. Students will think independently as cooperative, collaborative and passionate lifelong learners.
