The Lansing Central School Lunch Program is committed to providing your child nutritious meals meeting all USDA recommendations. These standards include age appropriate calorie limits, larger servings of vegetables and fruits, a wider variety of vegetables, fat-free or 1% milk, more whole grains and less sodium. Kids need healthy food to fuel summer fun! USDA partners with local schools and community orgs to serve healthy, no-cost meals to kids & teens ages 18 and under. Visit SummerMealsNY.org, call 2-1-1, or text “Food” or “Comida” to 877-877 to find a summer meal spot near you.Lansing is participating in summer meals; offering 7 days of bulk breakfast and lunch each week. Delivery if you reside in the school district, and pickup available if not. Meals will begin Wednesday, July 7th and continue throughout the month.
Disbursement is every Wednesday - 7/7, 7/14, 7/21, 7/28

Lansing CSD will be providing food for students on virtual days. We will be offering delivery or pickup on Fridays starting September 11, 2020, and every Friday thereafter. A meal will be provided for any day your student isn't in school (breakfast and lunch) per your request. We are offering this to ALL students.

COVID-19 Weekly Food Boxes
Here is a glimpse of what's inside the weekly food boxes our food services staff are sending to families! These photos show a box for a family with one child, containing enough food for five days. This box includes homemade rotini with meat sauce, BBQ pulled pork, chicken strips, French bread pizza and a homemade chicken quesadilla. There are homemade muffins included for breakfast as well! MyPlate provides information about healthy serving sizes and maintaining a nutritional diet. They teach both students and adults about food groups, nutrition and how to make healthy eating a habit.
