Library

Students are welcome to use the library individually before and after school and during the school day during study halls, free periods or lunch. Class instruction or projects may occasionally take precedence over student usage.

Our mission is to provide instruction, resources, and support to students and faculty so that they may obtain the information they need for school assignments, reading for pleasure, and personal enrichment. We achieve this by providing print, multimedia, and online resources, instruction, equipment, technological support and training in a welcoming and organized environment.

Tompkins County Public Library (TCPL) System

This includes the Lansing Public Library, the main branch in downtown Ithaca, and all other town branches. Sorry, but we are not able to borrow directly from the public library! If you don't have a public library card (they are free), you can get a library card here.

Sora is LCSD's platform for accessing ebooks and audiobooks. Sora is the "school version" of OverDrive, the ebook app that is used in the Tompkins County Public Library (TCPL) system. To use Sora, you need to be a student or teacher at Lansing and be able to sign-in with your Google account.

Sora can be accessed with your web browser on any computer (Chromebook, laptop, or desktops in school, or your home computer). To use Sora on a mobile device, you will need to install the free Sora app.

Login to Sora:
1. Click the "My school is Tompkins-Seneca-Tioga BOCES" button
2. Select Lansing Central School District from the menu.
3. Login with your LCSD Google account.

The HS Library is open from 7:45 a.m. –3:15 p.m. on school days. Please contact librarian to schedule time for classes.
