TRANSPORTATION STUDY
Lansing CSD contracted with Transportation Advisory Services (TAS) to conduct a transportation study in the fall of 2025. TAS conducted the review using a multi-phase evaluation which included document review, data analysis, on-site observation, stakeholder interviews, workflow tracing, and comparative evaluation of practices. The on-site assessment and stakeholder interviews took place on November 19th and 20th, 2025. A copy of the report can be found here.
Some of the recommendations in the report have already been addressed, while others are in process. An update to the Board of Education with TAS findings and recommendations occurred at the February 9th, 2026 meeting. TAS Update Presentation
FLEET INSPECTION INFORMATION
The Lansing CSD fleet of vehicles are inspected on a regular basis by the Department of Transportation Bus Inspectors.

As a result of the failed DOT inspections in July 2025, the District participated in a hearing, received two fines, and put in place a DOT response Corrective Action Plan. Those documents can be found here.
